I had the pleasure of shooting a Reel for the Z Dance Company of Lebanon, Ohio. I was blow away by the skill of this dance company. I'm actually not much of a contemporary dance fan, but after this performance I'm a fan! I loved it.  

One of the perks of being a wedding photographer is that you are introduced to all sorts of amazing ideas and locations that you never knew existed for engagement pictures- in the last few months I've shot engagement photographs in urban settings, suburban parks, art museums, and this time a cemetery. Last week I was introduced to the beauty of the Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is by far the most beautiful cemeteries and botanical gardens I have ever experienced. I have seen some nice ones in Paris though.

Courtney and Phil introduced me to this wonderful place and we shot some very nice engagement photos. Can you say "cute couple"?

On May 15th I had the pleasure of shooting Cheryl and Noah's wedding. I got to know them a little better during their engagement photos this past spring. The wedding took place at Emmanuel Catholic Church in downtown Dayton. This 1837 church is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. After the beautiful wedding we swung over to The University of Dayton for a few photos over the cobblestones and in front of the chapel. The reception was at the Transportation Center at Carillon Park. Enjoy the photographs..

Carly and Stephen were great to work with! They were easy going and fun and quite easy to photograph as well. They were wed at St. Christopher's in Vandalia and had a fantastic reception at the Irish Club. I had the pleasure of shooting another wedding in Carly's family this past spring.  

The highest compliment for a photographer or videographer is when the family and friends of the family hire you again and again and again. I've photographed or video taped five friends and family of Lori's and love seeing many of the same people wedding after wedding. I kind of feel like part of the family. Lori and Jonah had a super, fantastically beautiful wedding at the Dayton Art Institute. Jonah and Lori now live in Alaska.

Lauren and Bryan were married on September 4th, 2009 at the lovely Polen Farm in Kettering, Ohio. Its the same place my wife and I were married, so it has a special place in my life as well. Their timing couldn't have been more perfect either because all the colors popped. You'll see what I mean when you see the photos. I really enjoyed working with them, shooting their fun wedding and hope to see them again....maybe at a friend's wedding. Enjoy the video and photos!
